VICTORIA
Facade renovation of an existing attached dwelling located in a small and densely populated suburb in inner-city Sydney, called Potts Point, known for its beauty, historic background and cosmopolitan lifestyle.
As a result of age, the project involved the replacement of damaged and dilapidated elements to preserve the structural integrity of the frontage. The outdated existing paint was stripped back to expose the iconic sandstone blockwork, very representative within Australian culture. The purpose of this process was to make the property identical to the adjoining one, upgrading its visible appearance and authenticity.
The heritage conservation of this gem focuses on preserving the character-defining elements of a cultural resource and its historic value, guaranteeing its existence through future generations.
